Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 in 1983. She is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Originating from Worthington Ohio she quit high school in order to relocate in Los Angeles with her mother following her divorce from her parents. However, in 2001, despite finances it was possible to land her first major performance in the video online show Rachel's Room as the main character. After earning an Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role of Murder In Greenwich of a 15-year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to take home the award. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and was awarded with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) along with her. Grace has worked alongside Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, decided to make the move to film. Grace has been in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 and Taken alongside Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern take on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the character of Shannon in two episodes of Lost as well as the show's finale. In 2013, Grace appears in the episode Californianation of the 6th Season. The role she plays is Faith as a girl who is a muse for the stars and catches the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Part of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and is the younger sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens, she began to work in small roles for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko with her brother. She also starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise for both her performances as the main character of Secretary (2002) as well as in Sherrybaby (2006), an erotic romance drama drama and Sherrybaby (2006). The actress received a nomination from The Golden Globe Award. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006 such as World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). After her successful performance as a mother who is not married of Crazy Heart (2009), she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
